"I am presently 56 years old and I am approaching my first full year at the school. Classes and practice have helped me control my weight, increase my flexibility, strength and speed while having a lot of fun. This has resulted in a better quality of life for me with reduced stress levels (and a better golf game). Forget the gym and get fit doing something you can use and have fun doing it. Why American Kenpo? One word: practical. American Kenpo focuses on efficiency of motion, no wasted energy and that every movement has a purpose. If you want to learn the art of American Kenpo in body and spirit this is the school for you and your children. The environment is safe, the instructors and students at all levels are respectful and helpful both in and out of class. I have been encouraged and helped from every instructor but also from every student. There has never been a time when anyone at a higher skill level made me feel that they were better than myself and instead they take time away from their practice to help the lower skilled students. When I have to miss a class I really feel that I have missed out and I never felt that way when missing gym time. "

"When anyone asks me about Karate, I recommend Michael Corsello without reservation. He has been a positive influence on my daughter, and she has grown as a person under his tutelage."
- Kris, Principal/Staff Developer at Wissahicken High School (daughter Marissa) "I met Sensei Mike over 20 years ago when he was training with my younger brother. When I started to look into martial arts classes for my son, I knew I wanted Kenpo Karate as the form for him to learn. I checked into several schools and when I walked into Corsello's Kenpo Karate I was happy to see a familiar face from so long ago and was even more pleased when I sat in on the classes. They are structured and disciplined while still having a lot of fun learning! After several months of classes I noticed a big difference in my son's listening skills and as time went on in his whole self being. He was focused and starting to thrive to his potential in school. We booked my son’s 7th birthday party at Corsello’s and invited all his friends from school, neighborhood and more. It was a great introduction for those who were unfamiliar with Kenpo and had lots of exciting things to do. The kids learned the basic forms of Kenpo, got to pound on a dragon piñata and then had a short lesson with nunchaku. He loved his cake with the karate kid kicking and all the kids still talk about the fun they had! In the past year, my son has learned that is it okay to walk away from a bully, to respect others and have fun while learning that discipline is a good thing. His school principal even told me that the maturity in him has come a very long way and she is proud of the young man he is becoming! THANK YOU TO ALL THE INSTRUCTORS AT CORSELLO'S and a special thank you to Sensei Mike! " -Sandy |
